Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) Blogs

I wrote the following blog post, “Cutting food waste to support farmers and the famished,” for the Growing Returns blog as a communications intern for EDF. The post performed above EDF’s average with over 400 views, and readers stayed on the page for an average of 3:38 minutes. 

Another one of my blog posts, “Bridging the gap of skepticism between producers and environmental groups,” was the top-performing Growing Returns blog post of 2015, earning over 1,000 views.

Visual Work

I created the following visual pieces in an InDesign course at JMU.


I created the brochure below to increase membership numbers for the Gopher Tortoise Council, an environmental nonprofit organization located in Florida.


I created the advertisements below to function as the start of a campaign for JMU's University Recreation Center (UREC). The advertisements were voted "Best Advertisements" in my class.


I created the first two pages of the newsletter below to function as a the template for future newsletters for CommonHealth of Virginia, an organization that promotes wellness at work.

I created the brochure below to inform readers about the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease.
